ERIKA was rude
We arrived at this restaurant at 820pm, immediately greeted by Erika who told us what was not available on the menu. After 5 minutes of deciding what to order, Erika came back to take our order. We wanted the Ebi Tempura which she said it wasn't available, so I asked if the popcorn shrimp was available. She bluntly replied "I'VE ALREADY TOLD YOU WE DON'T HAVE IT" (I was thinking inside, you've told me half the menu wasn't available, so how was I suppose to remember all of that)
First dish came within 5 minutes, followed by the sushi after another 3-4 minutes. Erika was holding the plate of sushi waiting for us to make space on the table, (table was really small) she were rolling her eyes and pulling faces and just placed it down and rushed off.
The food was just edible, I mean I can't complain much about it given the price was cheap too.
When we finished our meal, I tried to get Erika's attention by politely smiling at her. She probably sensed her guilt at treating us like badly, and got her other colleague to bring the bill and card payment machine over. I was keeping my eyes on Erika as in why she didn't want to come over, given that she was the server all along. She was gossiping about us to the 2 chefs, who made it so obvious, because they were staring at our table whiles I was paying the bill.
The girl that came and took the payment was very professional and polite compared to Erika.
I know people can have bad days or could be having something going on in their personal lives, but it's not necessary to be taking it out or showing it in front of customers that help and...

The prices might not be high, but the quality of the food (including the craftsmanship of making proper sushi) is so low, that people are lying if they say it's good - or maybe they are too cheap to buy proper sushi.
I don't often make restaurant reviews, but this was soo bad and we got lured in the because of fairly good ratings and I want to say it's a hoax! Even with the fairly low prices, you can not even argue that you get value for money.
Service was bad! It's a running sushi place and they only had 5-6 plates running (they told us from the afternoon and we were there for dinner...) and told us they don't want to make more (that's the point of running sushi.. dooohhh...!!!) so we should order to get some. Not even when we tried to buy 2 plates of the 5-6 they didn't refill the running plates and our sushi was not cold anymore, more or less luke warm. When we did want to order, they said 3 out of 5 price levels were sold out, so only the bottom 2 left to select from - that is basically just rice and seaweed!?
We have just spend 2 weeks in Athens and eat at all different sorts of restaurants and across price levels and ALL was great and we have spent between 8%-15% in tips per meal - this restaurant is the first and ONLY restaurant EVER where we did not leave a single cent for tips - that's how bad it was!!!
Don't trust the 4.3 (rate today, July 28th, 2022) and do yourself a favor and go eat sushi...
Read moreThe service is good, excellent in fact. Nothing to complain. Only praise to the speed and the etiquette of the staff.
The atmosphere isn't amazing since the shop is relatively small and the inside doesn't offer anything spectacular nor is the outside the most perfectly enjoyable since it is right on a road. Though the wooden fence is tall and thick and works well to separate the customers from the world further outside.
The food is the greatest limiting factor of koi. Without being cheap, following similar prices as other places in Athens, but without special happy hours offers, the food simply doesn't hold up to it's competitors. Not in diversity, just in quality. I am not a chef so I could not tell, I could only compare.
Even the rice felt different in koi. It's the reason why Places like shisan as expanding and packed with all tables pre-closed and have a waiting line while...
